 Building the Future Workforce

UNICON works in collaboration with local partners including the City of Rochester, the County of Monroe, and elected State and Federal Officials to secure local building projects for the Rochester area. With $3 billion in new local construction on the horizon combined with an aging workforce, there is a guarantee that hundreds of jobs will be available to people interested in the construction trades in the near future.

UNICON sees this as a unique opportunity to focus on educating and training the workforce of tomorrow. The construction trades have a lot to offer local workers and their families, and UNICON takes pride in encouraging those interested in these trades to learn more about the benefits and opportunities of a career in construction.

That’s why UNICON has been involved in many innovative new programs and partnerships dedicated to the education and development of the future workforce. UNICON’s involvement in the Rochester Careers in Construction Career Day and our partnership with the School of Applied Technology at Edison gives students exposure to quality careers in the building trades while teaching them how to “Get Ready for Life.”

The future of the Rochester community is bright, and we look forward to helping build a highly skilled workforce of local workers, keeping more jobs in the Rochester area.
