Joseph Morelle Jr.

Executive Director

Prior to joining UNiCON in April 2022, Joe Morelle Jr. spent 13 years with Rochester based Wilmorite and 8 years in the Monroe County Legislature representing Irondequoit, NY. As part of the Wilmorite new project development team and in combination with his experience in county government, Joe knows the ins and outs of private and public sector construction projects. While serving in the County Legislature, Joe focused his efforts on economic development and improved infrastructure.

As Executive Director, Joe prioritizes economic and workforce development in the Finger Lakes Region by working with public and private partners to advocate for resources and grow our community.

Joe currently resides in his hometown of Irondequoit with his wife Nicole, stepdaughter Harper, and son Gabriel. Joe has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from State University of New York at Geneseo and spends time outside of work in fundraising for local charities including Al Sigl Community of Agencies.

Jasmine Gelsomino

Communications Director

As Communications Director, Jasmine develops and executes UNiCON’s programs, communications and events. She oversees UNiCON’s Project Priority List, PLA Project Summaries, Opioid Stand Down, National Apprenticeship Week, Careers in Construction Fair, Weekly News Reel, and other initiatives. She coordinates with legislators, the press, and community leaders to develop UNiCON’s programs. She also assists with UNiCON’s partner organizations RCCI and CCET.

Jasmine has been working with UNiCON since 2020 and holds a Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oswego.
